CV & factoring
If you have come across this article it is probably because you are looking for a job in the factoring industry and are thinking about writing your CV. Like any other job, in order to get a job at an invoice factoring company, you will need to have a good CV. When writing your CV for a factoring job, think about all of the education and experience you have had that is of a financial nature especially experience that relates directly to accounts receivables factoring. Accounts receivable factoring is a job that entails financial knowledge and a lot of attention to detail so your CV should demonstrate that you have these skills. In addition to approving businesses for factoring agreements and actual accounts receivable factoring, invoice factoring may involve other services. Such services include preparing reports for your clients outlining which invoices have been paid by their customers and which haven’t and chasing late payments from your client’s customers. Therefore your CV must demonstrate an ability to perform these tasks. You may wish to outline all of your most relevant experience that relates to accounts receivable factoring at the beginning of your CV. For instance you could write a summary at the beginning of your CV. Of course a CV on its own is not going to land you a job in the invoice factoring industry, the CV is simply the first step to get an interview. It is at the interview that any final decision will be made so if you perform poorly at the interview with the factoring company, it will not matter that you had a good CV.
