CV when starting a business

When starting a small business you may require employees and this usually involves reading a bunch of CVs and CV cover letters and trying to sort the good CVs from the not so good CVs. Many people when starting a new business and reading CVs and CV cover letters make their choices purely on instinct. For instance if the CV and CV cover letter makes the person sound like a nice person that they might like to work with, they may grant them an interview over somebody who’s CV demonstrates that they are actually more qualified. When you read a CV for a position in your business you should think about the fact that you are starting a new business. You require someone who does not require a great deal of training as you will be busy starting a new business. Starting a new business is not easy so somebody with a lot of experience in the field could be a great resource. Experience is therefore something that you should not overlook when reading CVs and CV cover letters. Remember also that CVs and CV cover letters can be misleading so try to interview as many people as you can if you are starting a new business, ideally leaving out only the applicants who’s CV and CV cover letter demonstrate that they are clearly not qualified for the position.
